IPR Secure Achieves, Renews SSAE18 Type 2 Security Compliance Certification

As companies increasingly turn to the cloud to run their businesses and store sensitive data, Service Organizational Control (SOC) 2 compliance is critical to various industries, including government entities.

IPR Secure recently completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination where it achieved and renewed its SSAE18 Type 2 compliance certification.

SOC (Service Organizational Control) 2 compliance implies that third party auditors have verified that IPR Secure is following best practices with respect to security as it relates to its infrastructure, software, data, people and procedures.

Fundamentally, SOC 2 is an audit of a company’s technical capabilities, and its ability to ensure that data is secure, available, and held in confidence. The procedures for ensuring these outcomes must be documented and to receive certification the company needs to demonstrate that it has effective procedures in place to meet strict audit standards.

For more than 20 years, IPR has been committed to protecting its customers data. Serving customers in government, healthcare, financial services and other highly regulated fields requires IPR to meet strict regulatory and auditory requirements.

Mid-sized businesses facing these requirements often need to prove to regulators, auditors and even customers and partners that the data stored in their cloud environments is secure.

Using sophisticated data security and encryption technology, IPR safeguards highly sensitive information at levels that exceed the most stringent requirements for privacy and security.

The IPR Regulatory-Enforced Cloud features all the tools necessary to accommodate the regulatory and auditory requirements of HIPAA, FINRA, PCI and more.

As with all of IPR’s solutions, a Regulatory-Enforced Cloud can also be combined with any of its offerings, enabling companies to protect their most sensitive data completely while taking advantage of less costly solutions for parts of their IT environment that are less vulnerable.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) created the compliance program as a means of improving the reporting by service organizations. While there are three types of SOC compliance, SOC 2 is designed for Cloud and SaaS organizations. McKonly & Asbury conducted the audit for the time period January 1, 2020 – June 30, 2020.

IPR Secure’s customers, prospects and partners can receive a copy of the SOC 2 report upon request.
