WAYNE, PA –JULY 10, 2012 – IPR International’s Chief Business Development Officer, Rich Carroll, is pleased to announce that Susquehanna Health, a member of VHA Inc., has chosen IPR International to be their preferred supplier of IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions.
Susquehanna Health spent a considerable amount of time evaluating owned vs. hosted Disaster Recovery solutions. In fact, funds were approved to start a multiyear project and create a Susquehanna Health owned DR Hot Site. After hearing about the VHA/IPR partnership (READ ABOUT IT HERE), Susquehanna put their plans on hold and decided to take a closer look at IPR’s Disaster Recovery Solution. Mark Watson, Susquehanna Health’s Administrative Director, IT Technology Services said, “The greatest challenge when working with a privately owned DR Hot Site is developing or acquiring the expertise to implement, support, test and maintain a 100% functioning Hot Site. Once developed, the ability to hold on to the necessary staff and expertise becomes a greater challenge. This was identified as a high risk on our analysis. IPR demonstrated through the discovery and pricing process, that they were a professional organization that understood healthcare data center challenges and were extremely customer sensitive.”
Mr. Watson went on to say, “I expect the IPR team will work cooperatively and tirelessly with Susquehanna Health to achieve all of our objectives and that they will remain an engaged and responsible partner for the life of the contract. Our belief and expectation is that when the unthinkable occurs, IPR will perform.”
