WAYNE, PA –OCTOBER 26, 2012 -IPR International’s ZoneIT Service Center (ZSC) team has distributed communications and alerts to clients around the globe assuring them that the IPR team is standing ready and is prepared for the worst when Hurricane Sandy makes landfall.
Early reports (according to AccuWeather) for the Hurricane are stating that Sandy will be moving away from the Bahamas this afternoon and evolving into, what AccuWeather is calling a “catastrophic storm’ as it heads northward. Early reports are predicting that the storm will evolve into a Nor’easter sometime Monday afternoon when it approaches Maryland. The storm is slated to bring heavy rains and powerful winds over a large area for more than 48 hours. Sandy’s winds are expected to wreak havoc from Virginia up into New York and New England that will lead to significant and widespread power outages and property damage.
The ZSC will continue tracking the storm’s path and working with current network providers in the event of possible service interruptions. Alerts and communications will continue throughout the storm until the threat has diminished.
