JOB DESCRIPTION: IPR Managed Services Technician (Tier 3)
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE

The Managed Service Technicians will be the first point of contact for clients, seeking technical and or on-site assistance.  They serve as members of the 24×7 IPR Service Center by providing technical support over the phone and in person, and maintaining the smooth operation of IPR Business Continuity Centers, Cloud Computing and system administration.

Our Managed Service Technicians drive technical innovation and efficiently in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Taking initial telephone, email or ticket inquiries and trouble-shooting and managing more complex hardware, software and or networking problems.
  • Making the decision to escalate issues to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for help.  Then working with SME to understand the root cause and corrective actions.  Providing documentation to the team and training and mentoring Tier 1 & 2 staff.
  • Installing hardware and or running cables and troubleshooting problems.
  • Logging call activity and ensuring that all tickets are updated to reflect work performed and or troubleshooting steps taken.
  • Complete daily/nightly checklists.
  • Raise “roadblocks” and or disruptions to the Client Services Team Lead and or Manager of Client Services.
  • Adhere to policies, standards, procedures and objectives (SSAE16 Controls).
  • Monitor and comply with performance metrics and assigned service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Asset and Inventory Tracking.
  • Monitor Backups, Environmental Controls, and Circuits and report/track issues.
  • Create detailed step by step documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience with IaaS and PaaS layer technologies, particularly with OpenStack preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise/cloud Linux Systems Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise/cloud Windows Systems Administration.  2+ years working to compliance and/or regulatory standards for technology, procedure and documentation activities.
  • Experience deploying large scale of servers, switches, routers in data center environment.
  • A working understanding of Storage Devices.
  • Experience with industry standard automation and cloud development tools highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of admin, development and testing best practices.
  • BS Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT or similar/equivalent is preferred.
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative, growing environments.
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions provided in the English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION: IPR Network Engineer
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE

The Network Engineer will be part of the IPR Technology team, and will be responsible for multiple parts of the IPR network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will help mentor IPR’s entry level staff by helping them understand the technology that powers the IPR cloud infrastructure; this in turn will help them to better serve IPR’s customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • At least 5 years working experience with LAN/WAN/VoIP/WLAN systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a large enterprise network in design/engineering.
  • At least 5 years working experience with Cisco. IOS Several years of experience with Cisco ASA/Pix Firewalls, configuration of IDS/IPS, VPNs.
  • Experience configuring, supporting and managing VPNs. Should have experience with IPSEC, SSL, Remote Access and LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
  • Must possess a firm understanding and working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies including network protocols, routing, VPN, VLAN, QOS, etc.
  • Experience with advanced routing technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP and/or BGP.
  • Proven diagnostic problem solving and solution development capabilities.
  • Experience performing and interpreting advanced packet capture analysis.
